How to use the Health Care System in Colorado

A video in multiple languages designed to teach refugees how to properly access medical care in the state of Colorado. Although some of the information is specific to Colorado, much of the material can be of value to immigrants and refugees nationwide.

These videos were produced for the Refugee Preventive Health Program of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, (contractor, Mind's Eye Productions).  This program teaches newcomer refugees how to properly access medical care, get immunizations, use medications, and live a healthy lifestyle.  Although some of the information provided is specific to Colorado, much of the material can be of value to immigrants and refugees nationwide. This video is available in 9 languages (English, French, Karen, Burmese, Nepali, Arabic, Somali, Swahili, and Kirundi); 4 of the languages are posted here now. To request a copy of the DVD, please contact Leslie Douglass at the Refugee Health Education Center: leslie.douglass@dhha.org or (720) 956-2171.
