Interpreting and Communicating for Difficult Health-related Conversations
This free virtual short course is comprised of interactive, interdisciplinary education using a mix of lectures, case studies, and small group work. The course is geared toward community health workers, social workers, clinicians, and interpreters. CME credits available; CEAP accreditation is pending. Space is limited.
Seattle Area: Oceania Northwest – Pasifika Island Market & Health Fair
Oceania Northwest will host a Pasifika Island Market showcasing craft vendors and food vendors. Health screenings for blood pressure, A1C and referrals will be offered by the University of Washington Student Health Initiative for Access (SHIFA). SHIFA is a student-run screen and refer clinic model serving vulnerable populations in the King County area.

Founded by Ayan Mohamed Ali, an MPH graduate, it bridges the gap in care caused by health disparities and systemic racism in the healthcare system.
