The Vietnamese Senior Association (VSA) is a Seattle non-profit organization, founded in 1993. The mission of VSA is to help Vietnamese and other seniors remove barriers and engage in their new community. The VISA coordinates with several organizations to improve well-being for seniors in the following areas: nutrition, fitness, health issues, social services and culture preservation. All staffs are volunteers.

Nutrition: Congregate Meals & Food Bank
King County residents over 60 years of age and adults with disabilities are welcome to enjoy nutritious meals while engaging in cultural activities, learning English or finding volunteer opportunities.
Asian Counseling and Referral Services (ACRS) partners with various volunteer groups to offer meals at convenient locations in the community. The Vietnamese Senior Association located at Garfield Community Center serves lunch twice weekly, Tuesdays and Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In addition to meals served onsite, on Fridays, seniors are provided with bags of food bank groceries to take home with them.
Fitness: Stick Taichi, Line Dancing, Ball Room Dancing
Seniors learn and perform fitness routines, taught by fellow seniors.
Health Issues: Monthly Health Education
Health care providers from area hospitals and universities present education on varied health topics such as cancer prevention and screening, safe medication use, advance directives and more.
Volunteers assist with forms, share information and link seniors to social services.
ESL (English as a second language) classes are offered every week at the Vietnamese Senior Association.
Fun and Celebration
The Vietnamese Senior Association provides a social community atmosphere for visiting with friends, playing games, catching up on news and celebrating birthdays and holidays.
